Lottery Process

As a public charter school, Volcano School of Arts & Sciences is required to admit all students who apply to the extent that space is available and without regard for race, ethnicity, gender, presence of a disability, language spoken, religion, homelessness, income level, sexual preference, gender identity, or academic proficiency. In accordance with state law, VSAS uses a two step process that starts with an Admissions Application. Upon acceptance of an offer of enrollment, parents and guardians will need to complete the Enrollment Forms for the student to be enrolled.

The Volcano School of Arts & Sciences conducts a double-blind lottery each year for incoming students. The annual lottery is held in April of each year. Please read our Admissions Policy or contact us for more information.
